I think happiness comes with a positive outlook on everything. Seeing the glass half full, so to speak. Someone who is hateful, suspicious of everything and everyone, distrusting, and always sees the glass half empty is usually a miserable person. And misery loves company, so I stay away from people like that.

I am a happy person because I've declared myself to be so. Happiness is not waiting out there for you, you've got to find it or create it; you've got to CHOOSE happiness over unhappiness.
How do you choose it? Check out this great series of quotes from Joseph Campbell, from "The Power of Myth":
- The experience of a lifetime is the privilege of being who you are.
- Wherever you are - if you are following your bliss, you are enjoying that refreshment, that life within you, all the time.
- We must be willing to get rid of the life we planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.
- The way to find out about happiness is to keep your mind on those moments when you feel most happy, when you really are happy - not excited, not just thrilled, but deeply happy. This requires a little bit of self-analysis. What is it that makes you happy? Stay with it, no matter what people tell you. This is what I call 'following your bliss".

I used to be a happy person.
I did not need anything to make me happy earlier. It was my default state. I would go through other emotions and come down to happiness as my normal state.
Now its changed. I strive to be happy. I buy things/do things/talk to people/meet people to try to be happy. I don't know what went wrong somewhere.

I am now but I've had a miserable, undesirable life due to many circumstances beyond my control. I have refused to be a victim even to circumstance.

I evaluate myself unhappy many of the time and harbor distinctive anger in direction of the shortcoming of freedom we've in a international controlled via socialist and totalitarian governments. Have a great day!

yes, i find its all about forgiveness. i have let go of past hurts and wrongdoings, tossed away the baggage and surged ahead through forgiving, both myself and those i perceived to have wronged me.
the peace i have found from doing this makes me happy..

Happiness is a state of mind. U associate it with someone or something then it is shortlived.
