there ARE black widows here. they live in my house. they are every where here. i see them all the time.
I don't want your idea of where they are from, just the size and life span, like I asked.

Widows up in Canada get about the same size as Widows down south in the US. Large females can have a body about the size of a nickel, front to back, and legs that span a bit less than a quarter if they were fully extended (which they pretty much never are). Most that you'll see are going to be smaller than that, of course, and males are pretty small. Lifespan; as far as I remember, they follow the common spider plan of born in the fall, die in the next fall after laying eggs. I could be wrong - they may be 2-year spiders, but a quick Google should settle that for you.

I know here in the US, they come in on produce from Chili, etc.

thorugh international shpping, but dont worry, they wouldnt survive a day in the canadian climate. (too cold)
