Jaden and Joshua both sound nice. But I would have to say that Joshua Alexander Torrez just rolls off the tongue.

I prefer strong names that a guy can feel comfortable about at the age of 40. If I were to chase it would be either James or Joshua. Alexander Joseph (AJ)Torrez sounds nice too.

Since all the others are classically popular, whereas Jaden is a currently-trendy misspelling of a previously uncommon Biblical name, I'd think you could safely rule that one out. Joshua, Matthew, Joseph and James all have a very different, more timeless feel, in other words, so it seems valid to assume you'd be happier with one of those.
James would be my favorite of those listed, but given the similar endings of James Torrez, I'd likely lean toward Joshua in this case. And since you mentioned that being one of your favorites as well, it would definitely get my vote here. ;)

I can see how you are undecided as they are all nice names! Maybe do the process of elimination thing, like...
Jaden is too common (all those Aiden, Brayden, Haydens etc...)
Joseph will get the nickname Joe or Joey which may not be the nicest name, personally not my fave
That leave Joshua, Matthew and James. I personally like Jamie for a boy so James would suit that if you like that nickname. Between Joshua and Matthew, Joshua is the better for a first name I think....
So final verdict would be Joshua or Jamie/James.
I think Joshua Torrez or Jamie Torrez sounds great!!
Hope my logic makes sense to you...lol!
