I know what you mean, and wtf happened to the toys inside of the boxes?

Seriously. I can recall as a kid eating cereal while I read the box, and there was enough good reading to get through an entire bowl. (and I didn't have to make small talk with the family) I don't know what the heck happened.

In Canada we passed a law that all packaging have a French translation on it.

Their language is not as neat as ours...it takes them amost twice as many letters to say the same thing.

This TRIPLES the length of letters/words on the box ... leaving no room for cut-out sports cards any more!

I remember cutting out cut-out sports cards of Canadian Football League players from cereal boxes, as a child.

Not really, and since I am a Mom, I am more concerend with the nutrition panel :D (funny how I never care when I am the only one eating it...but let my daughter ask for some, and I gotta analyse every ingredient. Wait til the boys graduate from baby cereal)

Oh, I know! That was one of the best parts of eating cereal when I was a kid, reading the back of the box... Now, nothing. Illiteracy has apparently reached within the confines of cereal box production.

That's amazing, I just thought the same thing to myself about a week ago! It's all mail in offers and "if you want your toy, cut the bee out of the box and send it to PO Box 666 Phukifyergonnagetit, Beijing China" Pfffft. What happened to the corney knock knock jokes and strange facts?

The company making cereal boxes are downsizing. Apparently, they don't have the money to employ writers.

Im more concerned about the toys. The good reads i try to find elsewhere. But i cant forgive them now for the trashy toys that comes with them for free. It's just not the same quality toys anymore.

Yea, I want to read a chapter by chapter analysis of the latest Stephen King novel on the back of my Corn Pops.

I agree. All I have is a description of the fibre content next to the picture of a smiling model who claims that it's good for regularity. I need pictorial evidence.

all I can seem to find is a coded map to where he hid the phuckin Crunch Berries, and I noticed that our friend the Cap'n is getting more rotund, just like the rest of America...but they have truly wasted the educational opportunity in favour of a $100K sweepstakes
