Yes they do deserve all they get. I have been suspicious of them from day one, but the British media seemed to be backing them 100%. Things have changed simply because they do not come across as grieving parents.

No they don't deserve the nastiness that some people so easily dish out without knowing the full facts.
They should on the other hand be made accountable for the fact they left 3 children alone and one of them to a terrible fate.
I don't think Gerry is in everyone's face, he's a dad trying every possible avenue to get his daughter back, who wouldn't? Would you just sit back and leave it to the incompetent Portugese? I know I wouldn't no matter how guilty I felt for leaving them.
On one hand I blame them for leaving them, what a stupid and selfish thing to do, on the other hand I feel desperatly sorry for them, I wouldn't want to walk a step in thier shoes.
We all have our thoughts on what these parents are like, if they did have anything to do with her dissappearing, but to be honest none of us know the facts of what really happened that night, I just feel that some times the press and ordinary people just go one step too far with what they write about these people that they don't know and don't see in private when they probably let out their grief. We just don't know.
I always thought innocent until proven guilty, as it is there just doesn't seem to be any proof they are guilty.

You are concentrating on the parents, rather than on the missing child. I don't find Gerry's in my face, simply because I'm not too interested in what he is doing.
The important thing is finding Madeleine McCann. Concentrate on that, and the rest just falls by the wayside. You can only allow people to annoy you - they don't live iwth you. You take offense where none is intended.
They are looking for their daughter and doing it in the only way they know how. I think they travelled once in a private jet, a donation, yet you act as though this was an everyday occurence. Five-star hotels? You read too much hype against the parents.

am very sorry but they have everything to do with their daughters disappearance, because they left 3 toddlers, unprotected, vulnerable and alone. what the hell were they thinking. there are sickos out there that sit in wait for the opportunity to harm a child. i think the way they have made sure they have every important person on their side is a disgrace.i am not a nasty person, its not in my nature, but these 2 repulse me,and make my blood boil. they had three precious children, yet they made a decision to leave them for the sake of food and tapas. they should have eaten on the veranda as a family,or maybe used the babysitting service. instead they chose to be selfish and put their needs first. the mc canns seem to think they have full support from the entire nation,I THINK NOT!!!!!
they are guilty of child neglect, and after seeing the interview they gave the impression that its ok,as they still have 2 children left. if she took as much care of her children,as she does with cuddle cat, maybe Maddy would still be with them. may Maddy get the justice she deserves, bless her always. as for the so called parents, they should hang their heads in shame.Maddy is paying the true price of their neglect, not them. Gerry sings one tune and its "me me me me!"
To all those who gave me the thumbs down,i doubt if you even have any children,or you would understand that leaving children alone IS A CRIMINAL OFFENCE!!!!

It's such an odd case. The attention needs to be focused on the missing child. However, the police's attention also needs to be on the parents. There's something missing in the story that's being told. I am curious to find out what it is.
I just don't understand how they could leave their small children unattended while on vacation, especially after seeing a man following them and taking pictures. (If there even was a man.)

How many degrees of neglect are there.? I have seen many many times young children wandering around large supermarkets and the parents have no clue to there whereabouts.Children wander of in all places, airports are another example which I have also witnessed where young children are left unattended. Your child goes out to play. Do we really know all the time just where they are. We are all guilty in one way or another. Abductors strike in a flash and its impossible to have eyes in the back of your head. Just be gratefull it was not your child who is missing.

Very well said!
Funny the minute the fingers started pointing at them, Gerry wanted less media attention!
I think from the very start, they have done themselves no favours!

No, they don't.
No parent of a missing child needs the grief the McCanns get.
They did and do all they can & see fit to get their baby back.
You & i don't need to agree with their methods.
Some people in high places support them & they take that support. Why shouldn't they? Wouldn't you? I would. Every single bit of support could lead to their finding Madeleine.
If they didn't use the support they get, they would be guilty of not using their resources to get their baby back.
