My partner and I are both Catholics as well as lesbians....
We regularly take our daughter to church so that she has a respect for religion. If she chooses to remain Catholic when she grows up that's her choice.
The deal is this... I don't have to go to church to practice my religion. I'm fully capable of praying while in the shower, driving, while eating etc.
When I'm sitting in church, do I know if the guy next to me likes ice cream? No i do not, but more importantly does it matter if he likes ice cream? No it doesn't. The amazing thing here is that God loves him regardless of if he likes ice cream or perhaps prefers sorbet.
Lastly, the church has yet to burst into flames when we (the lesbians) walk in... to me that is a clear indication that God still loves me and my partner regardless of our preferences may they be movie genres, ice cream flavor, or sexual orientation.

i come from a very strict catholic religious background aswell and i know what you mean but i do know one thing and that is even with my family being as religious as they are they always knew I was different so it came as no surprise when I said i was a lez altho it has given a motive to keep praying for me to turn str8 bless their hearts..in your case when you realize that loving someone is not a sin and even if its is considered as one in the bible by many there are worse sins being commited in the world today the greatest commandment is LOVE so loving someone is a blessing in itself..find a happy medium within yourself no one can really help you out on this one other than you..its between you adn the one upstairs and i don't mean the sencond floor..good luck~

I'm not Catholic but I do have Christian beliefs. I was raised in the church and I know what the Bible has to say. I also believe that God loves everyone and will forgive us all if we ask. However I will not ask for forgiveness for loving my wife. I believe we were put on this earth to find our special someone no matter what their sex may be.

Im curious if you havent had a relationship with a lesbian, why do you consider yourself a lesbian then?
Is it because there was a situation or circumstance that just told you to give up on men altogether?
Was it abuse of some sort?
Was it the curiosity that a woman can be more fulfilling emotionally and/or sexually?
Is it disgust for the male genitilia?
Or is it, woman know what women need better than a man ever could?
If it isnt any of these, then please shed some light on what decided you to consider yourself a lesbian?

There's enough room in the Bible for anyone to use it to justify any of their actions. Some even use the Bible to prove Jesus was gay himself.
