As a Dem I am not happy. They have done nothing to stop Bush War II. They have sided with Bush on immigration and are doing NOTHING to stop illegal immigration and deport all illegals. I am not even 11% happy with them.

If our representatives and senators are truly afraid of a chimp veto then what else can they do? We have bipartisanship that is at the very lowest it has been since the Vietnam war! It won't end until Americans realize what a "goose chase" the current administration has taken the American people on. Personally, I believe if each and every American voter actually does research (that is not yellow journalism at best) the next election will show just how disgusting the republican politicians are. If we want our country back, we have to stop the labeling and calling of names and end party politics now. Our country won't change and if we do not have change soon we will be a free country no more!
I am neither a democrat or a republican and I am NOT liberal. So how many other middle-of-the-roaders are out there? We need to get all our ducks in a row before we blow the other person away - and always over conservative-liberal ideology!

the reason the democrats are unable to get anything done is because they only hold a simple majority and there is a rupublican as president. they dont have anything near the votes they need to override a veto. wait til 2009 and see how much they get done. if you are going to try to start an arguement about politics it would be nice if you brushed up on them a little.

also point out what the republicans got done with their six years of having a majority in the house, senate, and executive branch. basically they pretty much only were able to eliminate Habeas Corpus and some of our other civil liberties, and also just rubberstamp failed policies in the middle east. they also did a good job of turning our surplus into the largest defecit we have ever had.

furthermore, i am happy about some of the things the democrats haven't done. For example, they haven't had any inappropriate relationships with pages, they haven't screwed up any major disaster relief efforts, they haven't tried to have homosexual sex in a mens bathroom and then lie about it, and they haven't built any bridges to no where.

George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld and all their war-mongering, war-profiteering friends lied to Congress, hoodwinked the American people, and conned our courageous U.S. troops into believing there was honorable purpose in this insane, immoral, unjustifiable, unconstitutional, illegal 'war'.
They all deserve a special oil-soaked, blood-stained corner of Hell where they can rot eternally, along with:
* 535 members of the most arrogant, incompetent, greedy, contemptible, cowardly, corrupt Republican-led Congress in U.S. history that stood by and allowed Bush to run rip shod over our Constitution
-AND-
* 535 members of the most arrogant, incompetent, greedy, contemptible, cowardly, corrupt Democratic-led Congress in U.S. history that promised to end this stupid 'war' if elected, and - to date - has done nothing to keep that promise.
May God DAMN them all!!!! -RKO- 10/22/07

I am.... especially considering the fact that they aren't utilizing the religious rights's social campaign as subterfuge to conceal tax breaks for the wealthy campaign as the Republicans have done.
