In most states you are an adult at 18. But for drinking the age again in most states is 21. BUT I myself think that becoming an adult is more than age. Maturity plays a big part in being an adult. And you get this from life. which comes down to time. NOTHING happens overnight.

I'd say 21. When you're 18, you legally become an adult and are too busy enjoying your freedom to act like one! It takes you a few years to sober up! And I'm not saying this from experience! I'm still a teenager! I can see from my surroundings though- being the observant person I am! ;) Interesting question! ^@^

its not the age, its the mentality...I've seen plenty of 30-40 yrs olds that are definately kids and sadly I've seen 12-15 yr olds that were adults
