what's the movie which start with a red light explosion??

i remember only this small details:the beginnig scene is:landscape apocalyptic.The camera moves more quickly to end in a big red light, which immediately disappears after, and then explode. .
thunder. The camera shows us the exterior of a villa in classical style with several cars parked in the dirt in front of the entrance. The voice of a woman with us next archival where it is immersed in a bed and is talking with someone

That made me think of the beginning of Terminator 2 to be honest.. I seem to recall an "explosion" in red.. and she starts telling the story of what happens in the future..(the machines taking over).. I don't know about the bed.. although they might have shown a clip from the first one showing her with the guy that comes to save her.. (her son's father)
