"I don't want to be president. I want to run for president. There's a difference," the host of Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" said in a television interview.

"I'm far realer than Sam Brownback, let me put it that way," he told NBC's "Meet the Press" in a reference to Republican Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas, who dropped out of the 2008 White House race on Friday.

I live in Canada...but I would vote for him if I could. I believe he is a Texan, so he might have leverage there, lol. If only Jon Stewart was his Vice President, lol.

No. Can you not understand what he is saying? He does not want to "be" president. He only wants to "Run" for President - and only in the State of South Carolina. In other words he does not want to be on the ticket in any other states, so he would not have a chance to be elected in any state but South Carolina. So, a vote for him would be a wasted vote, since he doesn't want to be president, anyway. Why would you want to vote for a commedian for president, and waste your vote?

Sure. Why not? I mean the whole election thing is a joke anyways right? Hanging chad's, recounts and all the smoke and mirrors.

No, I will use my vote for a candidate who will have a chance to win! I will be voting for the Republican ticket to protect our country from being threatened by other countries.

Stephen Colbert is a one trick pony who is desperately trying to refresh his schtick.

How many times can you laugh at the same joke?
