It was repeatedly stated here on YA that the twins HAD to have been sedated for them to have been so oblivious to whatever happened to their sister, Madeleine.

Now that it has been proved conclusively that the McCann's twins were not sedated the night Madeleine was snatched,
do any of the accusers feel remorse or guilt at accusing them without proof?

it appears to be a story conjured up by the portuguese police in a bid tp make themselves look good. they have done a terrible investigation into maddies dissapearance and see the need to shift the blame to someone else

The police accused the McCanns of sedating the children due to the twins continuing to sleep through not only the abduction but the whold drama of Kate screaming, the hoards of people shouting Maddies name and the police showing up. The tests for sedations were conducted on the twins apparently quite recently, for some drugs it takes just 60 days to get out of the system completely. The tests should have been done immediately in order to get an accurate result, but for some reason the McCanns refused to let the portugese police test the twins and decided to wait untill over 150 days before allowing testing on the twins. So no I don't feel guilty at all. If they had the drugs testing when first asked and it was negative the results may have actually meant something.

I have personally known toddlers who could sleep through a nuclear bomb. Many kids are heavy sleepers after a big day out. I never found it hard to believe that the children slept through the whole thing.
I worked in a daycare years ago and the smaller kids would have naps and believe me the centre was not quiet with kids in other rooms making plenty of noise. Yet they slept everyday.

was it a tabloid newspaper by chance faith? They are full of rubbish about this case and people seem to jump on their stories and go wild with them on here!

I did hear the use of Phenergan being bandied about for awhile and whilst this drug can be used to 'help' a child sleep its primary uses are for its anti histamine and anti emetic properties, i.e. for allergies and travel sickness both of which, one could assume are common ailments for children on holiday?

it was not been proved conclusively because you (and us all) do not know, if the hair that was tested, was the whole strand and if it was, whether (after the twins haircut a few weeks after Madeline's disappearance) the strand includes hair that was growing at that time.

Bigmouths and frauds rarely feel remorse, unfortunately.

I accused them, and no I don't feel guilty!
They got the tests done 5 months after the fact!
Why did they refuse at the beginning?
Any signs of drugs would not be in their hair now!
Especially at their age, haircuts etc....

Very well put Charley!!!
