I think many people feel between a rock and a hard place over this debate! So many children go missing each year, and we never hear about it. Part of me wants to say "why is this case so special?", but the other part of me thinks "better 1 than none". In an ideal world we'd be able to have massive campaigns for all the missing children!

What truely scares me is if the McCanns are proven to be involved in Maddie's disappearance (and I'm not saying they are or aren't), I worry that next time a case like this pops up, the public will be too jaded and suspicious to pull together morally and financially like they have for this case!

Hmm I guess not guess I should breath easy means my babies are safe from harm! I know its a shame that there isn't coverage like the McCanns have had for every single missing child. It's heartbreaking. Every child is precious and every parent loves their child (well most of them you do get the freakin' nut jobs who know where their kids are because they killed them) but for the ones who have truely lost their child its sad. Every child is just as important as the ones who's families have money and financial backing!

Good question - in Australia a two year old child was shaken to death put in a suitcase and then dumped in a pond. The mother was arrested before she had chance to say non profit company

Tragically, many many children have gone missing since May 3rd. I do wish all their parents & family would strive to spread awareness about them the way the McCanns have, despite the flak they receive.

Too many have gone missing and no their names are not always known and their parents grieve silently and wait and hope for justice to prevail
