I think that Max Mosely was speaking the truth when he said that the $100,000,000.00 fine imposed on Maclaren for spying was insufficient and in equity, suspension from racing until 2009 was more appropriate. Also, I believe that Max Mosely was overruled because all the other teams would have suffered by such a judgement because the sport would have been too severely damaged and sponsors would have been pulling out across the board. Is it possible that the FIA persuaded Maclaren to accept a behind-the-scenes deal to throw the Championship in favour of Kimi Räikkönen and Ferrari – the injured party in the spying scandal?

This is not so farfetched if you consider unbelievable events in Shanghai and at Interlagos, not to mention the true amount of money Maclaren would have lost were they to be booted out of F1!

Yes, it's totally fixed because there is far too much money involved. Don't be fooled by the Mclaren illegal fuel appeal, that's just a case of 'the lady doth protest too much'.

The WORST result for the earning potential of all the teams in Formula One (and Bernie Ecclestone) next season was for Lewis Hamilton to WIN. The Championship was gifted to Kimi Räikkönen, you only had to look at the expression of dissatisfaction on his face, hardy the demeanor of a newly crowned World Champion!

Don't worry, nobody wouldn't lose "any hair's breadth" from head because "big money is in the game". While Bernie got might to convince of teams owners in its strategy everything will be fine. But you can observe situation and from the other view: into the teams (some of them) shortterm FIA is defined as Ferrari International Assistance and it talk too much about Ferrari's impact in FIA structures. I'm one of reds from Maranello but everything I watch as some circus performance, means for me isn't important will be Alonso, or Hamilton or Kimmi winner of the season. They will earn enourmus money, you and me and all other fans will stay poor always (in comparison with drivers). Therefore this is just amusement, nothing more. Veradisca & Best Regards, Neven.

It looks that way. But who are they in favour of is anyone's guess. Alonso said it weeks ago that the title was being decided off track. How true that is we don't know. I was actually quite surprised when the punishment meted out to McLAren didn't include suspension and disqualification of the drivers. Whether that ws fair ot not you decide. I just hope next year's championship will not be contested like it was this year

Can see your point. LH's "off" into the gravel was a bit suss as was his "missing gearbox" for 30-40 seconds. Doesn't explain Alonso's migration into a wall and anonymity yesterday. Seen more delighted people at Kimi winning on various forums.

That's the power of humans imagination

No it isn't. The championship was won fair and square.

Lewis is a great driver, he just wasn't prepared. He make mistakes under stressed. That's something all drivers learn from experience, and he's no miracle either.

It seems that way. Bernie himself has made it public that he's rooting for Lewis (biasness) and the FIA always seems co-operative when it comes to Lewis. It is so unfair and I personally hate the fact that this year's F1 seems so tainted and fixed.
