look u need to understand the difference between 20-20 and 50 over game
adding 20+20=40 which does not even complete a single innings in 50 overs
it is not bang bang cricket and i can challenge that if that team of 20-20 plays we will loose bang bang .
you got to play 50 overs and apply yourself .
sachin and saurav are batting pretty well and getting the team to good starts . while agarkar is not in the team which is fine .
actually we have a short memory
recently zaheer was awarded the best bowler in the tour of england and now people are saying tat he is old and out of touch
plz grow up and understand the difference

the t20 format is a shorter version and hence the youth succeeded in winning so many matches...... but in the 50 over format the experience of the senior players really helps...... moreover in the one day series against australia sachin and sourav batted brilliantly..... it was only in the later part of the innings that we lost the track...... youth should be given chances but under the watchful eyes of the senior players...... and our team is not that old now...... i mean the average age of the australian team is more than ours but still they are the world champions..... so till the seniors are there and are playing well there is no need to throw them out......

u can keep those young guys for 20-20, but we need some experienced players like ganguly and sachin for longer version of the game. it will be good to rest dravid as he is not inform but he still is great player and should be considered for the test matches in Australia.

Young team is ok.. but we need some seniors like sachin and sourav.. dravid must be dropped.. sachin will play.. and giving encourage to youngers.. sree santh to dropped because of over aggresiveness.. he is agrresive in words only not in game...

This is the only series available before the Australia tour.It is necessary that the youngsters are exposed to big cricket more. The prospective players to be taken to Australia should be included in the series against Pakistan.
So I think we can have just one senior in the ODIs by rotation. All the seniors can be included in the tests.

i think we are getting a bit ahead of ourselves with the t20 win. you cant play like that in 50 overs.

20 overs, 6 batsmen is 3 overs per batsman. lets say 8 rpo avg, each batsman should score abt 25 runs. if openers play first 10 overs, you have 10 overs, 5 batsman. 2 overs for each. they have to throw their bats around, not much risk because you have just two overs per batsman.

25 runs per batsman.

compare it with 50 overs match. 6 rpo, so a max score of 300. comes out 50 runs per batsman.

honestly do you think 50 runs from each batsman is possible ?

no
but the reason is that they are not suitable to play a game for 50 overs and we cannot have so much faith in youngsters

and after all, india have every series against pak only in the presence of senior players

I think that Sachin, Ganguly and aDravid should be there in ODI against Pakistan as ODI is not onlyu plain hitting like T20 and require experience, skill and technique.

i dont think that will be good for 50 - 50. our young indian team has lot to prove, we should not decide with 1 or two good or bad performance. Age should not be a criteria for selection.
