You MAY have a marital problem. yes, that would suck. But, it's quite likely you have the same problem that most of us have. We, as societies have gotten so caught up in all the garbage TV and magazines tell us is meaningful, that we've become like hamsters running endless on a treadmill. We run and run, and get nowhere. So either keep running, or stop. Perhaps YOUR answer is to find or invent a different solution. One that helps you and you husband to be a team, lovers, AND friends. And what could that be? Nobody can answer that- not even you guys- cuz you haven't started looking yet. Perhaps you may end up continuing with the same life that is stressful and probably ruining your marriage. Or, together you may find a way to live that is better, or at least different. You might end up in a handmade bush cabin in Alaska, panning gold for a living. Or running a 7-11 in Peoria. Maybe a hot air balloon company in South Dakota, or a charter sailboat company, and sailing the world. What you do doesn't much matter, as long as you work together to find it. Heck, all you gotta do is find something that will work for 40-50 years. You'll never find it, unless you look. OR, just keep running on your treadmill. Don't let the fact that "everybody" says you can't do something stand in your way. Lots of people do things that everybody knows can't be done. They simply do it.

it's like eating the same thing over and over again until you no longer get the urge or satisfaction out of eating it again. Even if it is something you haven't had in a while, serving it up for the occasional dessert isn't going to make the mouth water.
Try being more intimate in other ways, like holding hands, spooning, or whatever. Make a 'new' relationship out of it. Fall in love with each other all over again. Try not to return to the old habits and don't wear out the new ones.
You think you know each other, but you do not. You will need to get to know each other all over again. It will take time & patience.
