He'll probably go back to Renault. Flavio has made it clear that he and the team want him back with them. And if he doesn't take up the offer, I think that's just silly. Renault is still a good team despite their average performance this year.
Besides, if they want him, he should just go back instead of staying on at McLaren where he is unhappy. I don't think McLaren will want to keep him. And even if they do, he's better off leaving to avoid further complications. His reputation there isn't too good, after all the controversies this year.

It has already been reported that Fernando Alonso will return to Renault. He did a wonderful job at Renault but he decided to move to Mclaren, probably because he thought Renault will not be able to maintain a technical edge against Mclaren which has a much bigger budget than Renault.
I hope he and Renault does well, I always like to see the underdog have a fighting chance, and I think Alonso is still a great driver despite his performance this season.

Before this whole thing gets totally out of hand withdraw Alonsos Licence to race.He is the man responsible for the upheaval in the McClaren camp and trying to unsettle our brilliant Driver Lewis.Raikkonen took the points fairly in Sao Paulo good luck to him.Maybe a good idea though to check the telemetary on Lewis Hamiltons gearbox problem, sure that would kick up some interesting facts.McClaren have a mole in the team it needs a look.

Alonso will go to his previous team RENAULT with whom he won 2005 and 2006 world championships. Ferrari won't keep Alonso as its 2 drivers are booked till 2009 and 2010

There are a few teams willing to take on the services of fernando alonso and willing to accomodate his personality in order to win. I'm still hoping that mclaren keep him on. Not getting along with each other really isn't an excuse for a team to let go of such a great driver. In a business, you don't fire someone who is getting good results just because they don't get along with everyone, thats how they should look at this current situation.

He is going home to cry, if and when he goes back to Renault he will have no chance of winning the crown again, no big name team will take him because of his " I am the champion " and I should be number one, at least Hamilton showed him he can't always win.

Maybe he will just have a year out to read all the emails that he received from Ferrari, or to practice how to be a ***** for when he returns again.
