are shrooms worth it?

i want to have fun but theres nothing really out there thats fun that isnt illegal in some way. help me :D

There's lot of legal fun stuff to do, but if you're going to go for illicit recreational pharmaceuticals, in my experience shrooms are quite worth it. I've shroomed a number of times, and they remain probably my favorite psychoactive substance. They're too strong for regular use though, more of a special ocassion thing.

Keep in mind, with any substance different people are going to have different reactions, and your response to hallucinogens depends highly on both your personal brain chemistry and your general mental/emotional state when you take them. They're going to heighten whatever mental state you're in, so don't take them unless you're in an environment where you feel safe, happy and comfortable. And even then it might go badly. Also, they can seriously upset some people's stomachs.

I highly recommend checking out the fantastic and exhaustive web site, www.erowid.com. The mushroom sections is under the "plants and drugs" category. Check out some of the articles and such, and also scroll down to near the bottom of the page, and check out the "experiences" section.

There are hundreds of reports, ranging from glowing or even ecstatic mystical experiences, through hellish trainwrecks. Most include information on the person's size, the amount taken, and any other substances taken in conjuncture with it.

And I *REALLY* recommend not trying to pick your own in the wild unless you're with someone who knows *exactly* what they're doing. Most shroom-related deaths result from people taking the wrong mushrooms and poisoning themselves.

You want to have fun? Try learning a musical instrument, taking up skydiving, or something else that doesn't make you sick and crazy.

And no, shrooms aren't worth it. I babysat a girl on shrooms a few times, and she said they tasted horrible, didn't do much, eventually made her vomit, and gave her a raging headache for the rest of the day.

I had a handful of shrooms while at a Pink Floyd concert years ago.... They put the city of Columbus, OH under disco lights using a monster sized disco ball. They raised the ball above the Ohio State football stadium and hit it with spotlights... It was unbelievable.... At least I think it happened!!! You tell me if it’s worth it?

last time i checked there were plenty of things that were fun and very legal. But are they worth it, you can find them for free. Just make sure you check with someone who knows their mushrooms because if you eat the destroying angel their is a good chance your screwed and going to die.
Amanita muscaria is what you want, red cap with white spots.
But always check with someone who knows if your picking yourself there are many that can kill you.

Oh and i don't know if it is worth it, never done it.

Hmm. i haven't tried drugs so I cant say either way.
But there are lots of things now that are fun that arent illegal.

got to change your attitude twards life and yourself. no drugs, liqure, etc... are ever worth it. and just out of curiosity what does this have to do with g.l.b.t community? unless you are.

no. not worth it. drugs these days are so full of things that can hurt you. do what you want but i'd rather you get drunk.
