A. Spygate.
B. When slimey Billicheat's team was caught breaking the rule AGAINST VIDEOTAPING SIGNALS, BY VIDEOTAPING SIGNALS, Billicheat said that he had a different interpretation of that rule!! lol. What a slimey guy.
C. The Tuck Rule call. That probably has to be the worst call in all of sports, I haven't seen it called before that play or after that.
D. The fact that even after the Patriots have the victory secured by several touchdowns, they still keep all their starters in and go for touchdowns to pad their stats; classless and horrible strategy to risk a player getting hurt for no reason.

It'd be cool people could cast their online vote to see what people would pick.

Your rebuttal HAS SERIOUS FLAWS Tweety! You keep saying the "allegations" that they broke the rules and cheated, THEY ARE NOT ALLEGATIONS, THEY GOT CAUGHT CHEATING, the same person that got caught in the game vs Greenbay. And you think that's the only time it's happened?
But of course, classless Billicheat said he misintepreted the rule that specifically says videotaping is not allowed! I guess there are always fans like you that can't hold the Patriots at fault for any cheating/steroids/classless actions.
It might be too much to say the tuck rule rarelys been called since, but I bet you nor anyone else saw that call coming in that game or have seen it called before that game, it was a terrible call!
I don't think theres ever been an undefeated nfl team that has this many nfl fans against them.
You biasedly named the only games the 04Colts ran up the score, while the pats have done it in every game this year and check the stats on how often they pass for td in the 4th qtr. Weak!!

And all Pat fans keep harping on how all this gives them motivation, so you all are basically saying million dollar athletes who devote their lives to have a career playing the sport they love all of a sudden have a reason to win??!!
Soon, more people from diff time zones than Boston will wake up so we hopefully don't have to hear from biased pat fans living in Boston.

Belichick is one dysfunctional human being with the personality of a badger. While all teams push the rules to the limit, Belichick is the one who got caught and it wasn't the first time. I thought he should have been suspended rather than letting the owner pay a fine for him, but that's not for me to decide. And the probably was what is was because the Pats bring in a lot of revenues for the NFL.

Teams that dominate eventually gain a lot of haters. If for no other reason, because people grow tired of them always winning and the obnoxious fans and players these team generate. Look at the Yankees or the UNC Tarheels. You either love them or hate them.

The worst thing I saw about the Patriots is they have no backup if Brady gets injured. I thought the Pats had an Offensive Line that could make any QB look like a hall of famer. Guess I was wrong.

The game yesterday stunk. Nothing enjoyable about watching one team get run all over. Only a Patriots Fan would love that game.

By accusing the Patriots of "cheating" (via videotape), all people ended up doing is pissing them off.

They're gonna go for 16-0 now. They wouldn't be doing that if it wasn't for the cheating accusations.

As for padding their stats, Peyton Manning, in his record setting, 49 TD season, threw:

Five TD passes in a 49-14 victory over Houston
Four TD passes in a 41-10 victory over Chicago
SIX TD passes in a 41-9 win over Detroit

The point here is not to denigrate Manning..the point is, any time you win a lot of games by huge margins, as those Colts did and these Patriots are doing, there's a chance that records (and a lot of career highs) are going to be set, or broken.

Sometimes a QB will get a TD pass on a play that involves a missed tackle... e.g. Stallworth against the Cowboys... he should have been stopped right after he caught the ball, but he fought off the defender at around the 20 or 30 yard line, and scored.

Yesterday, against the Dolphins, Randy Moss made two incredible catches on TD passes of 35 and 50 yards.

Sometimes you have to accept the fact that when things go right, they go right. And right now, things are going right for the Patriots.

But the cheating accusations have motivated the Patriots beyond any motivation they've ever had. They are very angry about that, but it's a controlled anger that they channel into their games and against their opponents.

Besides, it's an idiotic rule anyway. That's like saying a defense isn't allowed to listen to a QB's play calling in order to anticipate what might happen.

Why are TV cameras allowed to be focused on coaches on the sideline? Now coaches cover their mouths with their game plan sheet when they talk so that their lips won't be read. Why didn't they just put in a rule against lip-reading?

Or, why not allow a defensive player to wear wireless communication equipment, like a QB does.? Just designate one player on defense that can do that... then teams wouldn't have to worry about anyone watching their assistants coach's movements.

But to answer your question, the worst thing about the Patriots is the incredible jealousy they create among fans of other teams, like the Raiders and Chargers.

The Patriots are called classless by a lot of people, but the Chargers have been the biggest trash talking team in the NFL for several years now (well, maybe Cincinnati was as bad, at least for that one year), and even LT is getting in on that...claiming that the Chargers would beat the Pats 9 out of 10 games..and this after the Patriots beat them 38-14 in Week 2... which makes the Chargers 0-2 against them in 2007.

btw, the tuck rule is mentioned any time a QB fumbles while possibly getting ready to throw a pass, even this year.. you just haven't noticed because it's not a playoff game that involves a team you want to see get beat. What do you do, watch games with the sound off?

Also, the Patriots don't care about online polls. They just want to win football games.

Oh yeah, one more thing... The Patriots scored 42 points in the first half against the Dolphins...and SEVEN points in the 2nd half... How is that running up a score?

Brady was replaced on their first possession of the 4th qtr... his backup QB (Cassel) threw an INT that the Dolphins ran back for a TD...

Under those circumstances, it's ok to put your starter back in so as not to give the other team ANY confidence that they'll be able to play their way back into the game.... Brady then led another TD drive and left the game for good w/about 8 min to go.

Frankly, almost NO lead is safe in the NFL with an entire quarter still to play... witness the Houston/Tennessee game yesterday... Tenn leads 32-7 going into the 4th Qtr...Houston comes back and actually takes the lead with 57 seconds to go...only to see Tenn drive down and kick the winning FG as time runs out.

Yeah, I know, the Patriots probably wouldn't blow a lead like that..but you never know... and it's true that if Brady goes down, anything can happen.

And as far as "Dave5"s comment that "...Wilford (sic, it's Wilfork) was fined a second time this year. Wait till he comes to Buffalo, rumor has it , he will be leaving on crutches....."

Blah , blah, blah... does the phrase "talk is cheap" mean anything to you? Ask the Chargers how much good talking does.

A. If your gonna use spygate then explain exactly how the tape would have helped anybody during the game. It is well documented that ALL teams change signals at halftime and there would be no way for the coaches to match up what they had on tape to plays on the field.
B. No one said it was good answer as to why he did it
C. Actually the tuck rule was called that year in a regular season game benefiting the RAMS Kurt Warner was being hit as he threw it and tried to pull it back only to let go after his arm hit the back of the defender Obviously it was a rule that reviewed by all officials after that week which was the reason the ref in the Oakland game was aware of the play and I have it seen it called at least 3x since Intent palys no part in rules
D. Its called the EFF YOU touchdown this year and get used to it

The first three make no sense to me.

I think the fact that they keep trying to throw the ball with a 30 point lead and making Moss or Stallworth score a 45yd TD with a minute left.

Just keep running in the middle to consume as much time as you can.

It's not the same situation than Manning when he threw 49 TD, Manning did it because it was the only way to score more points than the other team. And he slowed down at the end when the Colts clinched a playoff spot.

In all honesty Belli should have been suspended and fined 4 game checks by the league.. i could see doing it once and claiming that he didn't know that he was breaking the rules... fine let it go.. but to be caught 3 times.. WTF? is he a damn MORON? i hope they go 16-0 and lose in the AFC Championship game and make this season go for NOTHING.. thats my Xmas wish. Look at the Colts from years past up till last year.. they had a steller offense, but a subparr defense... Patriots are getting that this year.. With the dirties players in the league Wilford and Harrison (both should be out of the league.. (CHEAP SHOT ARTISTS) Wilford was fined a second time this year. Wait till he comes to Buffalo, rumor has it , he will be leaving on crutches.....

Well said Tweety......

I'ts a simple matter of jealousy... the Patriots are the team, that all the other sports fans, wish their team, was as good as.... until their team, can play on the same level... all we will hear is "sour grapes" of plays and incidents from the past.... I'm sure they're digging through the archives, going back to the 60's so they'll have something more to whine about....

Let the past go... the future is what is important, and those who are living in the past, are doomed to stay in the past...

As for the "smack" issue... what is the point, in running down a player's personal life... it's no one's business but the player.... it's all jealousy as far as I can see....

GO PATRIOTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that while we (jets) keep on losing each game they keep on winning!
i totally agree with you that the pats are a classless team from your list the worst thing for is the cheating if you are a bad team and you cheat that's one the but the pats have lots off talent so there is no reason for them to cheat

They certainly have the upper hand, I dont want to call them cheats and offend the fans,
I guess not a lot of people like them because they win....
I dont like the fans because they always have to justify their dedication by saying what year they started to support them ......or that they live in New England ! Nothing wrong with jumping on the bandwagon !

The worst thing about the Patriots?
They are... too perfect.
They remind me of Denver in the 90s that had John Elway, Terrel Davis, Ed McCaffrey, and was excellent also on defense.
