There are a lot that do last though - and if you look at the ones which do last, they are the ones which aren't in the magazine and in visual media every 2nd week.
When people live out their lives in the public eye it puts added pressure on their lives and when celebrities get married it puts added pressure of that because everything they do is published.
Look at the relationship between Ben Affleck and J-Lo, that was in every magazine and all visual media, if he went to the casino everyone knew about it. They break up, and he then begins a relationship with Jennifer Garner and they end up getting married - how much publicity do you see about them - a lot less and that has to be such a good thing.
Denzel Washington has been married for 24yrs - without looking it up, who knows the name of his wife and his kids?
If the media allowed some privacy to "celebrities" than I bet that marriages and relationships would have a greater chance, because it would allow them something of a normal life, just like the rest of us who don't live in the eye of the public. We stop buying the mag's and watching those shows, the demand goes down.

Many marriages fail. But celebrities have the extra burden of their every move being followed by the press, paparazzi and media. Many spouses can't handle that.

I think its cause they put their careers ahead of their relationships and also most of them are not Christians and don't walk with God, they walk with the devil, so what do you expect? Its hard enough for Christians to work on their marriage, can you imagine adding fame and fans to the mix?

The pressure of the media is always the culprit. Camera's are the fish bowl to celebrity's personal lives.

50 per cent of US marriages fail.
Are celeb marriages any more weak? Or do we just follow them closer.
