Any reason to spend the extra $100 on a quad core? I have not read any reviews that show the advantage for a quad core.

The only real reason for a quad core would be gaming programs that have not been created yet to take advantage of the advanced mutli-threading.

The 6750 with 1333 fsb look pretty sweet. Don't see any real reasons why to go for the quad core except for the 8 mb L2 cache. I have actualy read reviews where the quad core slowed down the computer since they quad cores sometimes have to write to the HD to multi-task!

It depends on what programs you are using. Some programs are multi-threaded, other aren't. A lot of media related programs, such as editing or encoding programs are multithreaded, as well as AutoCAD and rendering programs. Most games aren't, but some of the big name ones coming soon, Crysis for one, are. And multi-threading is the future, so more and more programs will be going that route over the next few years. Remember that when you buy a processor, you are not only using it today, but for the next few years as well.

Quad cores are suited to AutoCAD, Design and Video
Dual cores are suited to gaming as the games haven't caught up to Quad cores yet.

it would depend on your usage and how much you really need it. there is a downside tho.. quad-core processors can produce quite a large amount of heat so think wisely..

The quad cores appear not so good at stock speeds. BUT when overclocked, they are unbeatable. And not just in games:
