I think it is so cute!!!! Sometimes, I wish I had a pouch for my baby but then I'm like glad I don't b/c he might stretch my skin but us ladies can breastfeed our babies and I don't think kangaroos can do that so God knew what he was doing. I would much rather breastfeed than carry a baby in a pouch but its still so cute!!!

I believe they have teats in their pouch...another thing though..you shouldn't try invade their territory when they have joey in their pouch..you might be up for a good disembowelling..very protective in the wild..as Mums all over the world usually are....

To see a kangaroo baby in its mommy's pouch is cute. The nipples for the baby to nurse from are inside her pouch. She can have one that is still nursing and have a new baby develop (can't remember where I saw and read that right now but I thought, now that's interesting).

Cute? May be - but don't you near them especially when there are babies. They can be VERY dangerous. They got sharp claws and strong hind legs. Worst case scenario - they CAN kill you.
And yes - they DO breast-feed the joeys - inside the pouch.
EDIT: kit walker is right - getting disembowelled is very possible.
