For your answers read below:

* would I be able to understand the language being only fluent in english?

The countries where English is native language are England, Scottland, Wales and Ireland. They are all part of the UK.

In some countries, English is well understood. For example in The Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, most people speak English so well, you would think that they are native English speakers (though they are not). But they learn English from a very young age and their TV and movies are mostly from the USA, so they sound almost like Americans. But in some countries, you may have difficulties. People from France, Spain, Portugal and Italy are not very good with other languages. But even there you manage. In Hotels, there are always people who speak English. In taxis, you have the address of your hotel written down and show them. In restaurants often they have English language menus and you often can point to what you want on the menu. The answer is mostly you can manage when you have to, even when you do not speak the language.

*Are there any black people there?
Depends on where you are going. In some countries, mostly Eastern European countries, you don't see many black people. In others, like the UK or France, you see as many black people as in, for example, many Northern US states. Racism can be a problem in some areas, though mostly it is not an issue.

* what do you guys think of the country?
As mentioned elsewhere, Europe is not a country, but has MANY countries and each is very different. This makes Europe very cool. Lots of culture and history here. Imagine walking on a street filled with buildings that were built before the USA was even discovered. Imagine traveling for 1 hour and everything changes. Different language, different styles, different cultures. Every little trip is an adventure.

It is great that you are interersted in moving to Europe. But you need to do a bit more reading before making this move. Alot of people who move to another country struggle and have difficulty adapting to the big changes. They get homesick for the lifestyle they left behind. You will probably find it easiest moving to a UK country at least at first. Though a country such as The Netherlands may be ok as well. In England and Ireland English is the official language. In other European countries other languages are spoken.
Yes, there are black people.
Europe is not a country but a continent with a lot of countries like Ireland, United Kingdom, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Czech Rep., Slovakia, Poland, Estonia, Lithunia, Latvia, Ukraine, Bielo-Russia, Moldavia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Serbia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Andorra, San Marino, Vatican City, Russia (which is part of Europe and Asia, Turkey (also part of Europe and Asia), Albania - and the ones which I can't remember by heart for the moment.

welcome to Europe. Be prepared for byrocracy, high prices and unemploymency. Racism level depends on different countries.

black people are a clear minority in north parts of Europe.
I suggest Germany, France or England as those countries have taken refugees the most and the people are better used to coloured people.

You`ll manage with english languge with people under 30 years old. Over that, it depens on education level. Working class might not speak with you in english.
