oops... so, those spare screws... they were meant to go someplace ?

actually no.. i tend to try and figure most electrical gadgets out myself. the only things where I'll read the instructions are where something needs putting together.

If the manual is worth it why not? it also depends on how complex or how complicated the product is, a little step left unread might cause a great damage. if you've used this product before, then it's fine to leave the manual unread but if you haven't make sure you read the manual in details. If you are still confused about it then ask for an operator's help.

Only after half an hour figuring out how to do it without the manual. It has to be a really bad or complicated device for that. An example of bad is the Motorola F3 phone. It doesn't do much but nothing is obvious.

I do. Why buy something new and expensive if you don't know all the functions of the product? So many people return these things without reading the manual and they keep wondering why their product isn't working.
That's just nuts.

Nope, I like to mess around and figure things out for my self. Its what makes new stuff exciting. The manual is always the last resort for me :)

No...I just start using it. I only refer to the manual if I really can't get it working, or if I have problems later on

No, I like to fiddle with things and learn without the manual.

Not at all, too lazy and I guess I rather use my own intuition. But if I mess up, I'll check out the manual.
