HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the scripting language of the internet and web pages.

DHTML (Dynamic HyperText Markup Language) is HTML with extra programming in JavaScript or VBScript. Adding the extra programming means that the web page can change depending on such things as the time of day or on an option that the user has selected for example.
