Our body needs to recouperate and regenerate every night. Each of our internal organs takes turn to rest from pretty much 11pm to 7am (it is proven according to Chinese medicine). Having a good night sleep, therefore, is good for your health. If you sleep 7 hours, don't force yourself to wake up after 6. You are still sleeping because your body tells you to rest, so what is the point of waking up? It is not better to sleep on hours of 3. You don't even have time to get into a deep sleep. If for some reason you can't have your full night sleep, it is good to have short naps in the day time for say 20 minutes to 1.5 hour.

It all depends on the person. I for one need about 10 hours to be totalley refreshed, but I know a guy who gets about 3 hours of sleep and is good to go. The same amount of sleep doesn't work for everyone.

hi Jake, this relies upon on the term which you're dozing. for example: while you're dozing at 11 pm and waking up till now the solar rises, then its high quality to sleep your hours right this moment. yet once you're dozing somewhat later, say at 2 am, and you comprehend which you would be dozing for the period of the solar upward push, then its good to break up your sleep. it relatively is because of the fact once you're dozing, a chemical is being produced on your physique. once you get extremely some sleep those chemicals attain an extremely extreme point interior the physique and at last grow to be poisonous whilst confronted with the break of day. in case you have been to break up your sleep nonetheless, the chemical point could flow down once you awaken, and once you flow lower back to mattress those tiers would not grow to be poisonous from the break of day. Its all approximately your dozing cycle. that's in accordance to a recent discovery of a medical learn that i became into examining approximately, it could or won't be thoroughly authentic, yet I definetly do be conscious that i've got faith greater useful interior the morning if I sleep 7-8 hours broken up. desire that helped :)

i read somewhere that it isn't very healthy to sleep too much; the hours of sleep you need depends on your age

but in all honesty, after 6 hours of sleep another hour isn't going to make that huge of a difference; it's not the quantity of sleep you get it's the quality...as in, are you attaing all those different phases of brain activity [when sleeping], or something like that.

You should sleep for the amount of time your body requires. Don't bother to time it. If you wake up tired, then you need more sleep, so go to bed a bit earlier.

Depends on the person. If you don't feel sleepy during the day, that is the right amount for you. 7 is perfect for me. My husband needs 9 ideally.

8 hours is ideal.
If you sleep less or more than that, you will not be at your full potential.
