About 3 weeks ago, I started experiencing a lot of nausea. It occurs around the clock, on and off. I am currently breastfeeding my 4 month old daughter exclusively, no supplements, solids, etc.... I've also started experiencing a lot of bloating and painful abdominal gas about 4 days ago on top of the nausea. Unfortunately, yes, I have started my periods again. I've had 2 so far. (sob, sob, I wasn't one of the lucky ones to not start for awhile, lol). Last period was October 2nd, so doubt I could be pregnant, these signs usually wouldn't show this early. So, I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I felt completely fine up until a few weeks ago, no nausea with let-down. Could it be all the extra hormones from menstruating on top of the hormones for lactation? Any advice would be wonderful. I'm tired of feeling sick all of the time. Thanks!

In addition to the possibility of hormones a virus could be causing this as well. I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation but in the mean time you could try making a tea out of fresh ginger root to see if that helps some of the nausea.

To make the tea boil some water in a regular pot or coffee pot, then after a few minutes cut a couple of small pieces from the root and put it in the water. After a few more minutes put some of the tea in to a cup and then let it sit for a minute.

You can find fresh ginger in the supermarkets or international markets. If you have a flea market close by some of them have days where fresh produce is sold at good prices.
