I have totally been infatuated with that exact same thought for many years! Unbelievable you brought that up!

Nahh, truth is I saw the questions and was like, hmmm. She has a point and then I was like wow look at that pic next to her username.

Can I massage your eyeballs lovingly?? I coulld caress those beauties for hours and fill your ear with sweet nothings which actually mean something.

The answer is: You are absolutely right! But you could also look at it this way. The "small" world you are looking at is self encapsulated. It does not see you or know you exist. Therefore it is only about 50 feet wide by 30 feet long, or whatever the size of the building is. And that makes it a small world.

It's creating a metaphor pertaining to the saying "It's a small world." When have you heard someone say it's a big world, it's not a saying people say generally.

As far as the actually literal construction of the Disneyland ride: the people are small because the world is small. If the people were big, they'd be giants.

Maybe it's because they can't walk around or anything so all they see is that small area that they are trapped in so it seems like a small world to them!!

The fact that the word "Disneyland" is in that sentence is proof that there is no reason to put that much thought into it! It's entertainment for six year olds!

if the world were big, with little people singing, it would swallow them whole. its best a world be small if small people sing upon it. don't you think?

lol never thought about it that way...you're right lol

but then, everything thing else around them is small you know, like their houses and stuff

I just love that ride, especially with the lil hula dancers
