I can't stop crying.

I am a 36-year old woman. In 2005, I had a TAH BLO. I am on hormones and I've tried different types. I am now on a higher progesterone dosage but no changes at all. I get lots of sleep, I am content in my life. I am taking antidepressants - have been since 1997. I take them because I have chronic depression, I know when it happens and I able to control it or let it pass. My Dr thinks it is all about depression. But, before 2005, I rarely cried. It doesn't get better or worse in relation to my depression episodes. It's quite embarassing. If I get a bad grade, watching tv or if I talk about crying, I cry. It has interfered with my job because people think I take everything too personally but I don't, I just cry all the time. Its hurting me in school and I AM JUST SICK OF IT! Does anyone have any idea what this is about??? or What I can do to stop it???

I am surgically menopausal meaning immediately after surgery I hit it full on. Which would explain why I am on hormones, because I thought I was going crazy!

I have seen a couple of Psychiatrists, I wasn't happy with the services. Also, I am on a very limited budget and each new referral is $50/session.

I'm sorry you are having a hard time. Have you tried seeing a psychiatrist? Perhaps a psychiatrist can diagnose another non-depression mental illness that your family doctor hasn't been able to identify. I wish you good health and sincerely hope you figure things out.

Yo coudl be in Peri-Menopause (the stage before Pre-Menopause) and/or you may need to have the dosage of your depression meds changed. See another doctor, be completely honest with them about everything. Good luck!!!!

Well if you have had all the children you need you might want to look into getting a hysterectomy if you haven't already gotten one. Your hormones will change and it will help you with the menopause.
