I believe Jimmy Carter is a war criminal because Jimmy Carter is who caused worldwide Islamic terrorism to proliferate around the globe . Jimmy Carter undermined the shah of Iran . Jimmy Carter encouraged [ Ayatollah Ruhollah ] Khomeini to come back from exile in Paris and as a result Khomeini spread his Islamic poison around the globe . Jimmy Carter { to put it simply } is a war criminal and should be tried in the International court of Law .

Anyone agree ?

That is a great synopsis.

Carter's world vision has always been dangerously skewed. He has been an abettor of so much that is currently wrong with this world via his policies while in office and his actions since. He has rallied behind Castro and Chavez.

Here are a few other examples I found:

[Marshall Tito] is a man who believes in human rights. [He is] a great and courageous leader [who] has led his people and protected their freedom almost for the last 40 years." -- Carter, while still in office, hailing Yugoslavia's communist dictator

"Our goals are the same: to have a just system of economics and politics ... We believe in enhancing human rights."
-- Carter comparing himself to Romania's dictator Nicolae Ceausescu

"Our concept of human rights is preserved in [Communist] Poland." -- Carter speaking to Stalinist Edward Gierek, Poland's First Secretary

"[I am] ashamed of what my country has done to your country." -- Carter speaking to Haitian dictator Lt. Gen. Raoul Cedras

"I don't see that they [the North Koreans] are an outlaw nation." -- Carter in North Korea, lauding Stalinist Kim Il Sung, one of the most destructive and repressive dictators in history

"Ill-informed commentators in both countries have cast the other side as a villain and have even forecast inevitable confrontation between the two nations." -- Carter making exquisite moral equivalence between the giant and repressive Chinese Communist state and America

Carter gave away US oversight of the Panama Canal, "the most important waterway in the world," says Adm. Thomas H. Moorer (ret), which is now "packed with Chinese communists."

Sadat, appalled that Carter wanted the Soviets in on Middle East peace negotiations, decided to directly offer peace to Israel's Begin. When their plan was essentially worked out, they then called the White House, because obviously, "they needed someone to pay the bill" (Bernard Lewis).

Not resting on his laurels, Carter demanded the Shah of Iran step down and turn over power to the Ayatollah Khomeini, an Islamic madman. Carter had the Pentagon tell the Shah's top military commanders - about 150 of them - to acquiesce to the Ayatollah and not fight him. The Shah's military listened to Carter. ALL OF THEM were murdered in one of the
Ayatollah's first acts. By allowing the Shah to fall, Carter created one of the most militant anti-American dictatorships ever. Soon the new Iranian government was ransacking our embassy and held hostage its staff for over a year. More than 20,000 pro-Western Iranians were put before firing squads. With the Shah gone, the whole region was destabilized.

Iraq took advantage of the Shah's departure to invade Iran, a war that killed more than 500,000 people. It also created the regional instabilities that led to Iraq’s later invasion of Kuwait and to Operation Desert Storm, which cost the lives of hundreds of thousands more. But Carter meant well.

In the closing days of the 1980 election, Carter's White House contacted the Soviets in a quid pro quo to plead for assistance in stopping Reagan from winning. In 1984, Carter himself visited Soviet Ambassador Dobrynin to ask the Soviets to intervene on behalf of Democrats. Damning evidence [exist] that Jimmy Carter, as both president and citizen, may have committed treason by enlisting the help of our enemies in presidential elections.

Since leaving office, Carter has:

- praised Syria's late Assad (killer of at least 20,000 in Hama)

- praised Ethiopian tyrant Mengistu (killer of many more than that)

- secured Saudi funding for Arafat after he sided with Iraq against the US

- wrote the UN Security Council after Iraq invaded Kuwait, urging them to thwart President Bush's pre-Gulf War coalition (designed to reverse that act of aggression) - another action some called "treason"

"Our people, who face Israeli bullets, have no weapons: only a few stones remaining when our homes are destroyed by Israeli bulldozers." -- from a speech written by Carter for Yassir Arafat

"[Arafat's] election [was] democratic, well organized, open and fair." -- Carter describing the "rigged" 1996 Palestinian election

"[Arafat] may well see the suicide attacks as one of the few ways to retaliate against his tormentors, to dramatize the suffering of his people, or as a means for him, vicariously, to be a martyr." -- Carter in an apologia for the Pali homicide-bombings

The angel Gabriel told me in Aug. 1973 that Jimmy Carter is the Anti-chist and that he is going to change his name and divorce his wife!
Obama is going to die first and then the Anti-christ who was one of the previous 7 Presidents will take his place!

Rev. 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, [and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
These 7 kings were;
1. Gerald Ford
2. Jimmy Carter
3. Ronald Reagan
4. George H. W. Bush
5. Bill Clinton
6. George W. Bush.... is spoken of in the present tense (and one is) because until Reagan died all 7 were alive!
7. Barack Obama.......and one is yet to come! He will die a few days after he raises taxes!
Obama is also in Dan. 11:20
Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes [in] the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.
Rev. 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

Why does everyone keep asking questions about Jimmy Carter? Who the hell cares what he was or what the hell his *** believed, And for idiots attempting to compare Obama to Carter are stupid.and not to mention it's an effort in futility because most people don't care 1 way or the other. Anyone can plainly see that it's an obvious attempt to create some ridiculous narrative. FAIL!

Not even close.

Jimmy Carter is an idiot on many things. But a war criminal? Hardly.

His biggest problem is that he honestly believes, in his deepest core, that people will always do the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do. And the Camp David Accords furthered his belief in that.

However, in Sadat and Began, he really had two people who really wanted to do the right thing, just didn't know how to start. And Sadat paid for it with his life. Few people in positions of leadership are not only willing to do the right thing, but pay for it with their life.

And since that accord was signed, Israel and Egypt have had peace, and the Sinai was returned to Egypt.

Unfortunately, this is the exception, not the rule. Carter believes that this is the rule, not the exception. It really is too bad that he is simply so wrong.

Jimmy Carters main problem was his very weak grasp of the worlds realities. He acted like some Utopian idealist who thought if we just bow down and kiss everyones backside they would love us for it. He tried to appease the Islamists that were on the rise during his Presidency, and it blew up in his face, and we've been paying for it ever since. It's not so much because he was incompetant as it is because he's an unrealistic idealist. His intentions were good I believe,it's just that his solutions were unrealstic and unworkable in the real world.

His solutions for domestic policy were also just as unrealistic and unworkable,as evidenced by the totally disasterous economy during his Presidency. He wasn't exactly handed a great economy to start with, but every action he took seemed to damage it even more,so that by the time he left it was in an utter shambles, and anyone who was there knows it if they choose to be honest about it. Which is why he will go down as one of the most ineffective Presidents in American history. Having good intentions will get you nowhere if all your ideas are garbage,Jimmy Carter will forever be proof of that.

I am sooooo not a fan of Jimmy Carter. BUT I don't think his decisions were based out of malice (I don't even think he could spell it (Gosh I hope I did...LOL). He's just a silly hillbilly that bit off waaay more than he could chew. Really it's shame on the American people at that time that voted for him. We could be in the same boat if Billary is voted in.

A war criminal is one who wages war and in doing so also violates the rules of the Geneva Convention. Jimmy Carter did not do that and therefore is not a war criminal.

Where did you come up with this fantasy?

Carter supported the Shah to such a degree that the Iranians stormed the US Embassy and took American hostages.

I love the lies wingers try to pass off as "history".

Edit-You are truly a moron. How in the world did Jimmy Carter have anything to do with the "53 coup?

There are no words to describe the complete lack of knowledge you have displayed.

By the way,you should have something done about the dyslexia.

Jimmy should take up his hammer and continue building houses for the poor, and cease writing inane books. There is no surprise here, which is why the man was a one term president.

There was nothing we could have done to keep the Shah in power. Like so many like him - Marcos, Ceauşescu, come to mind, they were undone by their corruption. With widespread popular support, Khomeni, evil bastard that he was, came back to Iran. We propped up the Shah for as long as we could - there was no hope for him.

Carter should get a rap on the noggin for his pathetic antics vis-a-vis the hostage situation. Now that he handled in the worst possible way.

But a war criminal? No.

Don't be such a twit. Presidents of the United States do not dictate the internal policies of foreign states, nor do their policies even remotely effect changes within those governments. A President can consider himself lucky to effect change within his own government. How in the world can one man be held responsible for actions of hundreds of thousands who cannot even speak the language and know nothing of U.S. domestic policy? That line of reasoning makes about as much sense as saying Franklin Roosevelt was personally responsible for the annexation of Austria under Hitler. Perhaps if you studied history thoroughly instead of leafing through one source, you could better make an informed judgement, instead of a specious extrapolation.
