I had a car accident in 03 but it started this year so maybe its from when I fainted last.

Your ight blondie! the sternum is close to the ribs and breast bone. which is where I feel it. Its a poking pain .

It happens when I am sitting.

I hope u don't believe everyone who writes OR I am totally confused..?????

the sternum is close if not ur breast bone,, it is by your ribs!!!
are we talking about the same thing ? is this where the pain is?

from the other ans's.. I am way off or they are..?????
So I now, I don't no how to ans u???
If have been in a car accident or fall or something of this nature u could of fractured it.. WHICH is causing a poking sensation..

Have you had any injuries to that area lately? Is it aggravated by certain movements or anxiety? When does it occur? Is it a constant pain? It is not a kidney stone. Kidney stones will cause back pain first. These questions when answered will narrow down your symptoms to help isolate the cause. Hope this helps. Good Luck and God Bless.
