It doesn't matter what time I go on, it seems like it takes ages to load up. And when clicking on different sites within the AFL website, it takes just as long to come up. It pisses me off, especially when I am doing my footy tips.

I have broadband connection, but I see that this is the only site I have problems with. All other sites are lightening quick.

The flash thing makes it horribly slow. Too many graphics, advertisements, other garbage. I want to read words in stories, since the web is the only way for news of the footy here in America. I usually go to the Age and Herald Sun websites to get my info, read stories. Also do not mess much with gfc.com.au. It is even slower.

Mine isnt limited to just the AFL category - its Yahoo in general. All other websites load up quick, but I still get snail pace here.

I think it depends on the time of day you use yahoo. I find the mornings and late nights are the worst coz of all the Americans users.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure what's wrong Big Kev. The site probably has problems with their service. But the good news is that you don't have to do your tips for a while so you can come on P&S and have the fun :)

It's slow BK probably due to the amount of people trying to view the vids on the site. I too have cable and find it slow.

Ah hah! Correct! The thing is woefully slow and is terribly designed. I think I'm a reasonably intelligent person (of course many may disagree) ... but I can never figure the thing out. News stories just seem to disappear (and yes I know about that scrolling story thing but they just disappear!)

You'd think it would speed up in off-season ... sadly ... nup!

I noticed it after they changed the site last time. I think it's all the ads and extras they have on there, especially on the home page.

No - it's really quick for me. I'm with bigpond and have the fastest download rate. I know the site is affiliated with bigpond so maybe that is why it is slow for others.

Yes i have also experienced that, also with the nrl website.

I think its because of those modules that aren't normal (they're scripted differently and they are live etc) and because of all the flash panels.

Its too flashy and pretty . . .

It is terrible and all of the plug ins you need to install just to view it...yuck. Go back to how the old site was, nice, simple and neat!
