In a year a firm realized a net income of P148,461.54 before a bonus to the manager and income tax are paid. The bonus to the manager is 10% after deducting the said bonus and the income tax. The bonus is treated as an expense and therefore is deducted from income before computing for the income tax. The income tax rate is 25% of income tax base of the amount not exceeding P100,000 and any excess thereof is taxed 35%.
(a.)How much is the bonus?
(b.) How much is the income tax?
(c.)How much is the amount of net income after deducting the bonus and the income tax?

I have one. Three men check into a hotel. The clerk says it will be $30. Each man hands the clerk $10 for a total of $30. Later, the clerk realized he made a mistake and give the bellboy $5 to give back as a refund because the room was only $25. The bellboy doesn't know how to split $5 between three men. So he gives each man $1 for credit and keeps the extra $2 as a tip. Now wait a minute, that means each man paid $9 times 3 which is $27, plus the $2 the bellboy kept. What happened to the extra dollar.

I have two homes which I can't sell in the current market. I'm paying for two mortgages and they are more than my income. I can't cope with tenants, they end up not paying rent and mess up the house - cheaper to keep them empty.
