Hi, my name is Ofri Becker, I am 39 years old and I am from Israel. As a little kid, ages 3.5 to 7 I lived in Ann Arbor Michigan, and guess what, I fell in love with football and with the wolverines.
Nine years ago there was yet no tackle football in my country. I advertised (on a local Middle East TV station) that people who would like to play American football should call my number. Lots of people called and we began playing in Tel Aviv weekly.
Along the years more football "centers" have grown over Israel, and two years ago we established the first ever tackle football league in Israel, named IFL.
I, my self, donated the league trophy (called today "The Becker Trophy"). In the first season, that was played without helmets and shoulder pads, we had three teams playing and the one from Haifa won the championship.
These days the second season is about to begin and will be played with full gear that was purchased in the USA.
We now have four teams and growing.
You can read about us on www.ifl.co.il and in wikipedia under "eight-man football" or under "Israeli football league".

Do a Web-search for Chuck Ealey. I heard of him here on yahoo Answers, last week. He was 18-0 as a HS QB. Something like 34,or 35-0 in college. Check it out. Someone should make a movie about this guy!!!!!

Priest Holmes, undrafted free agent, waited patiently to get his shot in Baltimore, had success when he got to play, got to Kansas City. Was a total scoring beast, racked up a lot of yards, got injured 2 years ago. Everyone said he was done for good. Played today. Didn't see a lot of action, but the point is he never gave up.

How about old dudes in the NFL
Vinnie Testaverde comes to mind.
He got a bad wrap early in his career and now....
they won't let him retire.
Makes me feel like I could play softball again
against the 20 somethings at my ripe old age
of 46.
