Yes. Two completely different projects. Johnny Rebel is the extreme side of country alcoholic David Allen Coe. Johnny Rebel sings a lot of very racist songs. I don't believe that Johnny Cash had the same topics.

I am absolutely OBSESSED with John, June, The Original Carter Family, Carlene, Rosanne, Rosey, John Carter, and anyone belonging to the Cash/Carter clan. I also love many of the old country western musicians such as Loretta, Willie, Waylon, Kris, Dolly, and all those 'greats.' Johnny is and will forever be an amazing musician, be it in gospel, country, rock, bluegrass, or any other genre he so chooses to sing. I can see where die-hard fans would have a problem with 'Walk The Line' because of all the historical inaccuracies. It's ridiculous. And Reese didn't imitate June's stage presence at all...June had her own way of doing things, but you have to study her bunches before you pick up on those little motions and laughs that she does on stage. I personally didn't like the film as a whole, but I feel the actors took on a great challenge and met it pretty well. And Junie and John chose who would play them so...Yeah. But I LOVE John.
