I'm going to say no. Your prof/teacher definitely wants a statement, not a question, for your thesis statement.
I think you could pull off a question in a casual article and definitely in creative writing, but an opinion essay is written in a standard format. Your opinion might be that some aspect is questionable, and that's fine. Stick to the standard format and back up any statements you make with references from the text/your research.
Good luck!

I was taught not to, and therefore I will recommend that you do not. A thesis statement is your position, clearly stated, on the subject and should not be cryptic or consist of fence-straddling (not being able to pick sides.) However, you can have questions littered throughout the intro of your paper; you can even have a question be your hook.

No.
Does your entire paper support this one statement. Everything in your paper needs to come back to your thesis statement. Make it a definate position that does not lead to misunderstanding or question in your stand. You are beyond question...you are making a statement.

Using a question would be the research question of a hypothesis and not a thesis statement. Simply state the opinion that you are going to try to support and defend.
* Are green olives more popular on pizza than black olives?
is a research question
* Green olives are not more popular on pizza then black olives.
is a thesis statement
* More pizza will be sold with black olives than green olives.
is a research hypothesis
Each is useful and could lead out the same paper - but for your essay, a thesis statement is the preferred technique.

yes, a supporting thesis statement can so long as it is qualified.
In general you should have a single statement also.
For example:
Will the seasonal patterns of the wild cause the bird to migrate or will evidence show that structure nesting allows the bird to remain during the winter?
