Yes.

Put an American flag at the top of every government building in the world. We are the only nation on the planet that has the power, money and conscience to make the world free and prosperous.

(We would be honored to exempt other great nations from our immediate takeover: Britain, Canada, Australia, Japan and perhaps a few other allies who have been with us from the beginning and have never waivered. Our friends are welcome to join us, all others badly need our assistance and way of life.)

Imbalance? As in economic imbalance?

Heck ya. Eliminate all the dictatorships and strong man governments. Eliminate corruption. Establish well defined financial and legal systems. Establish private property systems (many poor countries have no legal title to homes and property), free trade, free markets and stable money.

Now unfortunately, it's very easy to say these things, but very difficult for many countries to do. Many are mired in cultures of corruption that cannot just be undone without a major effort.

Basically, if a country wants to become prosperous, their own people will have to make it happen. It cannot be bestowed upon them by rich nations like the USA. Nobody bestowed it upon us. It took visionary men, a strong protestant work ethic, and about 150 years to develop.
