More RAM will speed up the CPU.

Is it worth it?
Depends on you, depends on your comp, depends on why you want to bother, i.e., for faster loading? Then OK.

If you want to increase the clock speed, then according to PC Gamer magazine of June 2007, you may be able to "overclock" the CPU through the BIOS setup routine at bootup.

BUT I don't recommend it.

WHY NOT?

Cuz your Celeron D may not have an auto shut-off when overheating and you'd end up with a fried CPU.

AND chances are you wouldn't get much of a clock speed increase anyway.

No cost option= Overclock your Celeron.

Expensive option= Replace your Celeron with a compatible Pentium 4.
