Wouldn't you be arrogant with all that money and celebrity power that she has? She is in the number 1 spot for celebrities with the highest incomes on the Forbes list. She made 260 million dollars last year. Tiger Woods came in a second with 100 million. Big difference from Oprah. She's arrogant alright! But, does that make every words she says gospel? Not at all. And, there is one area of life that she knows absolutely nothing about. Children. She has none.

I don't think she is a bit too arrogant, in the faux pas, I think she is a bit too obtrusive and her issues are controversial. The guests on her show are usually widows, orphans, or mainstream millionnaires, so it is hard to guess how she gets her viewers to watch. One day she had Gwen Stefani talking about her marriage, kids, and singing career, the next day she had a show devoted to mothers. So, I don't know the adamant retinue that she goes by, by sticking to her morales and holding this show together. She never explains her own opinions and just puts forth questions that the producer thinks is lenient. I think awakening from the "Cold War" her neo-nazi viewpoints and the way they pay her are a bit too controversial for me.

Perhaps being so rich and powerful can "tilt" one's attitude.
I hope its just confidence at last.

I would like to think that "arrogance or a loofness" is a "protective" tool to keep people at an arm's length.
I'm sure that being so "public" has opened up the door for more than her fair share of "freaks" just wanting something from her. Sad, that people feel entitled to "Take" from those that have worked hard and earned the money.

She is a generous underwriter to many organizations for the whole benefit of humanity. Yet it does appear at times that it the "world" is all about "me" at times. Yet- Hey! Its made her a millionaire, so perhaps we have a lesson to learn here?!

This woman was a very poor child at one time. It disgusts me that she will air a program all about her travels across to US and devote 2+ programs to her complaining about everything and her inability to pump her own gas. I think Oprah has done some great things, but come on........all able-bodied adults should be able to work a gas pump.

My answer has already been taken: Getting?

That woman is the QUEEN of arrogance! It's great that she donates all this money to various charities, but she makes sure everyone knows about it every time she does it.

No. I think white people are starting to turn on her because she's so successful and influential. She is openly helping black people in Hurricane Katrina and Africa. Now she is openly backing Barrack Obama for president. She was white women's favorite "sister girl" until she started showing racial pride. That scares whites, because they made her popular. They made her the billionaire. Now they think "Oh did we give her to much power ". She says, "buy a book", the book goes on best sellers list. She says, "theres a mad cow scare". She shuts down meat industry for months. She says," watch Dr. Phil" people make his show a hit. She says, "listen to Bob Green, he helped me get fit". She makes him a guru just like she did for Rachel Ray. But when she helps too many black people and supports black movies, plays and presidential candidates. " She's gone to far". Get over it . She did not get where she is today being "mousy" !
