the days when you would get like terry taylor and some jobber as the first match then the middle card would be like jake roberts vs rick rude and and the main even would be hogan vs bossman . but the matches and story lines behind most of them were built up week to week . the main eventers werent the only ones with story lines. so if you could have more matches and story lines like garvin vs valentine and roberts vs rude compaired to cade and murdock being nice guys then mean guys or like mvp and hardy . what would you rather have ?
sorry to the young fans that dont know the back stories on the two older matches i mentioned

The 80's era (federation era) was a boom for fans and wrestlers that sadly will never be seen again. As the federation juggernaut tore through the talent rosters of each territory it "absorbed" (bought out), the 80's era really was a best of the best time. If you weren't in crockett promotions, or world class, or at a stretch memphis/awa, then you were with the federation. Now that regionals are practically non existent, the ability to acquire top level main event quality stars for you mid card is also non existent. I miss what we had in the federation era, and I mourn the loss of the territories that gave birth to the era. Without the territories to raid, WWE will never be able to replicate this era again.

i'm 22 and even i know who the hell is Jake Roberts and Rick Rude (RIP) was. and Bossman was old school when he belt down the likes Hogan in the 90's and Austin in the 2000's he still missed to this day.
i want the Attitude era WWF and the old- Pre-Time Warner buyout of Turner, Inc WCW back, but that won't happen. Wrestling is F'ed.

You want 80's wrestling, bring back the 6 man tag team titles. Bring back the great tag teams like the Hart Foundation and Demolition. bring back the hated rivalries like the Ultimate Warrior and Dino Bravo. Bring back the Red Rooster v. "The Model" Ric Martel.
Now that was entertaining wrestling, not soft core porn.

I miss the 80's wrestling. Back then in didn't look fake and the story lines weren't predictable. Tito Santana was my favorite and The Killer Bees were my favorite tag team!

today's storylines just aren't he same. people know everything is scripted now. at least back then, it was maybe it was or maybe it wasn't. I miss those old matches. My brother and I didn't call those guys jobbers though. We called them nobodys. Mean but brutally true
