Babies will discover that some parts of themselves feel better when rubbed quite early in life, and it's not unusual for them at all. Small children simply remember what they discovered as babies, although they usually only do it at night or when stressed. There isn't anything sexual about it, though- it's just a matter of doing something that feels good and it doesn't hurt you at all one way or the other. One would hope as you matured, you would find other outlets for the sexual tension that are also more mature and less self centered, but even if you continued to masturbate it won't hurt anything physically. The sexual connotation doesn't become part of the picture until you actually have some sense of sexuality, and that doesn't happen as a rule until the hormones of puberty hit. Younger kids can immitate, and the pre-pubescent children will do if they are exposed to sexual content. It doesn't necessarily change how they think and feel about matters, just that they will imitate what they think is right. Young boys and girls who masturbate and make that knowledge public are usually either after attention, or want their friends to think they are actually older and wiser than they are. So now you and your "friend" both know. You are making a big deal of something that really isn't.

It's fine if they want to masturbate. It's perfectly normal, especially for teenagers. There are bad things of course: be careful with nails, especially if you're female, do not insert strange objects in, wash your hands before and after, etc.. It's better than having actual sex; a little less risk, and a lot less emotional turmoil.

Boys and girls can masturbate from birth, just as soon as they find out it feels good. There's no bad effect whatever. The feeling isn't as intense, and nothing comes out, of course, but otherwise it's just the same, including having an orgasm (coming).

I would avoid pre-mature masturbation in that it gets you used to ejaculating quickly, which is a problem when the hand turns into a woman. A little work and that problem goes away, but aside from that, it didn't hurt me.

it's possible of course and i think statistics show that boys masturbate from about the age of 8. if too much you could bring on a testosterone surge too early which would shorten your growth so you'd end up shorter than you would if you had not done it so much

Yes, it's possible. There won't be any semen, but it is still possible to orgasm. I'm not sure why friends are asking you this question, and why you're asking us. One would think, if you're normal children, you know what touching your genitals feels like.

I guess when you can get it hard then you can play with it. I don't think it really affects you in any way. Your body is a part of you and you can explore it if you want to.

affects you how? Are you waiting to go blind or bald. Yes children don't know the name for it but they are curious and they know when something feels good.
