We've had our German Shepherd dog for 5 years now [we got her when she was 6 years old] and whenever she is coming out of the elevator, she stops to look left first, then she turns her head to look right and then walks down the hall to our huge apartment which is to the right of the elevator. She does this each and every time as if her previous owners taught her how to cross the road, because that's what she looks like she's doing whenever she is coming out of the elevator. lol
