Replace "women" by "men" and "Cosmo" by "Playboy"

I couldn't agree more! I loathe Cosmo. It reduces all women to unpaid whores. (No offence to sex workers, okay? They get paid for their work.)

It exploits women's insecurities [like a lot of women's mags] by projecting false ideals for women to live up to, not just in body shape and wealth, but sexual manipulation of men, reducing all male-female relationships to a power trip. It is the antithesis of feminism, masquerading as feminism.

thank GOD, i don't read cosmo, and never have! the same woman who read cosmo date the dudes that read Maxim. interestingly, BOTH magazines objectify women. strange, huh? guess society is obsessed with the female form to such a degree that even women's magazines focus on it.

I honestly have no idea why it's so appealing. It calls itself a women's magazine, but all it talks about is men. I read PINK magazine; that's one that makes women feel valued.

I don't read it. Too many ads and I don't want to bother going through them just to get to the articles.
