Yeah DUDE, The Apollo 11 astronauts left an array of corner mirrors on the moon, which we can measure to within a fraction of a light second. And we know its moving away at an incredible distance of about 3 inches a year.

Oh, Your thinking of the flag. Our Star emits about ten billion tonnes of matter per second. The solar wind data (velocity and proton density) presented on spaceweather.com . They are derived from real-time information transmitted to Earth from the ACE spacecraft and are currently at a of speed: 435.7 km/sec with a density: 2.0 protons/cm3. Further more radio telescopes used to relay transmissions were pointed at the moon, they bought back moon rock, spent lots and did interesting experiments with feathers and hammers.
