I don't have just one fish that is my favorite, a lot depends on what I feel like eating. Some favorites are wild-caught king salmon, mackerel, northern pike, lake perch, lake sunfish, crappies, walleye, fresh sardines (or canned), fresh and canned anchovies, canned tuna, sushi tuna, sushi hamachi, wild trout, catfish, cod, wild halibut, mahi mahi, herring, smoked whitefish, sole, sand dabs. I'll eat almost any well-prepared fish as long as it isn't smothered in sauce or other stuff that masks the flavor.

Talipa, Mai Mai and Salmon are favorites of mine. I like cod and halibut as good. I love fish, but don't eat as so much of it as I will have to. The fish and chips you describe sounds yummy. Years ago, we had an H. Salt rapid food restaurant here within the midwest U.S. And it was once so excellent. The batter used for the fish was once so delicious. Captain D's bought them out and it isn't the equal as H. Salt used to be. Now we have more often than not fries with fish dinners round here, not as many 'chips.' I decide upon the fried 'chips.' A cousin of mine gave me a recipe decades in the past for the batter utilized by long John Silvers. I made it as soon as, but would rather go there to devour. Ha ha. Captain D's purchased them out and it's not the equal as H. Salt used to be. I in finding the various quick food chains around right here, the deep fried fish is greasy.
