Life is all about making mistakes, learning from them and moving on as a better person. If everyone was totally enlightened when they first got here there would be no point in life. To refuse to forgive your enemy, when s/he is truly sorry for what s/he has done, is a sure sign of someone who has a lot of learning to do, a lot of enlightenment to yet achieve, and a lot of lives left to live before s/he can finally rest.

Well i would forgive because holding that pain inside you and that anger is bad for you and is contagious to everyone else.

God forgives us and i think forgiveness is so important we are not perfect and all make mistakes.

You feel better if you truly forgive.

Forgiveness means you dont forget what they did but you for give them for it, mean you cant ever change the past, just move on with the future.

Take care and i hope this helped you. :-)

I know it's said that we are required to forgive no matter, but that's hard. I wonder if sometimes it's harder to forgive the little petty wrongs done to us. I mean, as long as I get to see someone FRY who has done me wrong, whether I forgive or not, I'm vindicated. But when someone accidently keeps eating the yogurt with my name on it, that's unforgivable, that's unacceptable!

You should truely forgive always, and that is for your own good. But depending on the offense they should have to earn your trust back or maybe they just dont deserve to be a part of your life. Dont be a people pleaser, be yourself and if they dont like that then move on!!

I can't think of anything off the bat... I'm a fairly understanding, forgiving person for people I know personally and whom are sincerely apologetic.

Sleeping with a police officer in my bed when I was working midnights. Did I mention that this went on for four years before I found out.

Rape or molestation in any way... I'm not a fan of "sex offender reform" I seriously think that sex offenders should be life in prison or death sentence. And to be completely honest, I would feel that justice has only truly been served if they were forced to live their life with their genitalia removed.

The only unforgivable thing is denying the exsistance of God
This is according to the Bible, and also it says if we don't forgive someone their sins God can't forgive us ours. I may say from time to time out of anger I would never forgive someone, but in my heart I know I always will. Now trusting them again is entirely another story.
