The Rockies have won 21 of their last 22 games. They HAVEN'T LOST A GAME IN THE PLAYOFFS THUS FAR. The last team to start the playoffs 7-0 was the 1976 Cincinnati Reds, who won the World Series. So, what makes you think the Red Sox can stop a team like the Rockies who have the momentum of a runaway freight train?

I am not saying the Rockies are going to walk all over them, but they should be able to beat them.

Just because I made a little mistake doesn't mean I know little about baseball. I know more that you, zther. I just want to get Red Sox fans upset. That is why I have questions like this, even though I want the Rockies to win.

Go ahead and look for me, Laurie O. If the Red Sox were to win this year, and as quickly as you rubbed it in, I would respond just as quickly that it is still 26-7 in favor of the Yankees.

The 1976 Reds went 7-0 and WON the World Series winning 7 straight games (sweeping the Phillies in 3 and the Yankees in 4)... they didn't "start" the playoffs 7-0 they finished them. They were arguably the best team ever (some say the '27 Yankees)...

The fact that you're comparing the two teams shows you know little about baseball...

That Cincinnati team was coming off a World Championship in 1975, won 102 games, and finished 10 games ahead of the Dodgers in the West. That year, seven of the eight Reds starting position players made the National League All-Star team. The one who didn't -- centerfielder Cesar Geronimo -- hit .307 and won his third straight Gold Glove.

Layoffs are momentum killers... right now, the momentum is in favor of the Red Sox... and so are the odds in Las Vegas. Rockies open as the underdogs.

Ha ha is this question some kind of joke? The American league is on a totally different level than the National league. After just beating the Indians 11-2, the Red Sox are going to dismantle any hope the Rockies ever had of winning the World Series. For asking this question I think you should probably disconnect your internet and never voice your opinion again. May god have mercy on your soul.

Nice grammar CAT. Where did you go to school, University of Durrrrrrrrrr. Haha, some people.

The Rockies haven't played a game in the past 8 days. The Red Sox won 3 games while the Rockies were freezing their Bullwinkles off in the snow. The Red Sox have the momentum and the Red Sox will defeat the Rockies in 6 and win the W/S on the hallowed blades of grass in Fenway Park.

Do you as a baseball fan seriously think the Rockies are going to walk all over the Red Sox? Trust me the in 2004 and just this last series people have counted the Red Sox out. If I were the Rockies I'd stay as focused as possible because the Red Sox aren't pushovers by any means

White Sox fan here. The Rockies will prevail, but the Red Sox do have some momentum now that they came back and won three in a row. I'd say Rockies in 6 or 7.

I'm a Yankee fan since forever...........I'm rooting for the Rockies to win the series because of the awesome way they came on like gangbusters when they weren't given a chance to get anywhere near the playoffs let alone the World Series........They were 75-1 in Vegas at the start of the season...........However, in all honesty, it's going to be difficult for them to beat the Sox..........I'm calling it like I see it and not like I want it to be............Rockies have never been to the W.S. so there's no experience there at all and it's a different world from the season and the playoffs............Boston is a strong team, I don't like saying that but truth is truth.........The Rockies did it on guts and never giving up........They played the hell out of the playoffs..........But will it be enough against Boston and get them the Championship???..........I honestly don't think so, as much as I want it to happen...........However, I'm going to church tomorrow (and I'm not even Catholic) to say a prayer for the Rockies...........Maybe some Divine Intervention will help them thru...........Don't forget Boston now has an abundance of momentum as well........They came back from a 3-1 deficit and that's an accomplishment so I'm sure they're sky high on momentum as well...........One side note Colorado and The Rockies stadium is filled with snow.......They were out there throwing snowballs today.........Might that have an affect on Boston???..........They're not used to snow in October.............CAT

The Rockies have plenty classier followers than the purple Sox by making use of a mile! How obnoxious the RS followers behaved after the gained the international sequence. Drunken Bums! extraordinarily the college brats! yet even for the duration of the interest, the purple Sox followers are loud and impolite and gown like bums! My trash men gown greater appropriate than what those 2nd classification white trash wears! shame on you Boston. Your city is spoiled because it relatively is and you haven't any longer any classification! SO THERE!

I admit 21 of 22 is the most impressive run I've ever heard in professional baseball. Don't compare the Red Sox to 2004, there's only a handful of those players left.

That being said, it's hot (well, mid 60s) in Boston and there is 4 inches of snow in Denver. Hell has frozen over. Go Sox! If it goes 7 games, we'll be Spring skiing before it's over!

The Red Sox are playing some remarkable baseball right now (unfortunately). The Rockies have been off for over a week now, and there is no telling if they got cold or not. They have had lots of time to recover from any injuries, etc., but the layoff could be detrimental to their momentum.

I am hoping that they can kick the Red Sox's Butt!!!!!

Go Rockies!!!!!
