well, i wrote a paper on global warming and included something about the raising seas. i really wish that i had that paper. damn sister. anyhow, the raising seas have been a concern for awhile now. i don't think we can entirely stop the seas from raising. but, the government and individuals can take preemptive measures to try and slow it down (ie protecting rain forest, encouraging renewable energy sources, driving more fuel efficient & less polluting cars, etc). things can be done.
