After game 4 there were countless questions on here that had the same theme--the Red Sox were done, Red Sox fans su*k, the Indians were already in the World Series, etc. Some of us stayed true to our team and were ridiculed for it.
Now that the comeback is complete, it would be easy to strike back, but I don't think we should. There will always be people who hate us for being Red Sox fans, and they'll never change. Let's just rise above it and show some class.
To the respectable Indian fans who have been on here during this series, you guys have nothing to be ashamed of. The Indians are a great team and I expect to see them in the thick of the pennant race next year.

The "animosity" from non-Yankees fans (I am a Red Sox detractor, and life-long New Englander) is pointed at how the new owners have totally cheesed the park, have bullied street vendors who were there for generations, have turned it into an over-priced cocktail party for empty suits, have made it a totally hostile place for the fans who stood by them for decades pre-2004, and have coined it "Red Sox Nation".
Phooey...the team is now a Yankees-wannabe, which was never something to aspire to in the first place. Winning is fine and well, but now the whole experience is just another cheesy sideshow -- like being in L.A., except in Boston they stay for the whole game...
I like most of the players, but I was rooting for Cleveland, and now will root for Colorado. And you have no idea how many hateful, classless attacks I got to an earlier post from the legions of sheep out there who call themselves Red Sox "fans" (and surely only since 2004)...
May the best team win...and may it be about the BASEBALL this time, and not some stupid ex-girlfriend singing the national anthem, or some guy's struggle with a tumor, or some useless sponsor.

It's nice to see another devoted Red Sox fan! I grew up in Boston and even though I live in Phoenix I am still 100% a Red Sox fan (and I get ridiculed all the time because here everyone is about the Diamond Backs).
World Series Champs are coming!!! =]

No one should say anything negative about the Indians on here. That team is going to be the team to beat in years to come. I knew this was going to 7 games. I think experience was a key factor in this series. The Indian fans should keep their heads up. Their team played great. This score does not reflect how close this game really was tonight. The Indian fans who we got ridiculed by will not be on here. They only come out when they win. The true Indian fans who have been here all year, have been cool. Those are the one's we respect. Good job Indians.

As a New Englander, I have never seen so much Boston hate from Non-Yankees fans. Do I care? No. I'm a Sox fan, win or lose (though it is pretty damn sweet to win). The Indians were a good team, but they flopped. It happens. Just don't understand all the animosity. I thought that only happened between Sox and Spankee fans!

re: the Boston White Socks:
Now, really, why would anyone name a sports team after their socks?
I once got poked in the stomach by a female New Englander for refering to the Red Sox as White Socks.

I love Tom Bramirez. I hope he pitches a perfect game in Mile High Stadium against the Brockies.

I definitely agree.
I hate seeming like Yankee Fans, so we will do the one thing we can and just say "Hey, thanks for the series, i hope you win next year"
I personally refuse to become the new Yankee fans that everyone hates (even if some of us already are)
