I just got my 'next pet' today at the humane society as my little schnauzer Cozzy was hit by a car a little over a week ago and died in my arms minutes later. There are so many sweet animals there to choose from. Dogs, cats, bunnies, g. pigs, etc... I had my heart kind of set on a maltese that I saw earlier in the week, but when I went to play with him, he would have nothing to do with me and another little dog nearby just couldnt do enough it seemed to get my attention. So after playing with him for about an hour, I decided to adopt him. This is the same way I came to get Cozzy. I went there for one dog, but then Cozzy chose me just like this little Cairn Terrier I adopted today. As I was filling out the final paperwork, they included a wish list for items they need. It's a long list, but they appreciate every item donated no matter how small. Newspapers, lightbulbs, bottles of peroxide, old blankets and towels, etc. And b/c of our visit to the pound today, my son has decided to do his Eagle Scout project there. I cant wait!

Probably a fish? We just acquired a second aquarium. It would seem logical but a few weeks ago my dog found a stray dog in our backyard and after trying to find the owner for several weeks and having no luck, he ended up staying. In addition to the cats, several birds and various other pets we have around here, I'm never really quite sure.

It may be a dog, it may be a cat, but it WILL be ADOPTED from a shelter, and saved from an awful fate just as my friend nursgrl did this week to honor HER lost pet!!! I hope she tells us ALL the whole story.

I wish my next pet could be a Narwhal (you know, those massive whales that have a horn! like a unicorn!), but that's unlikely. My next pet will be a dwarf hamster named....Eric.

i rent and can not have a pet, but when i get the house i plan on adopting two greyhounds from the greyhound rescue agency

I have always wanted a floppy eared bunny for as long as I can remember. I used to have dwarf bunnys, but we had to get rid of them because my mom was allergic. :( I love bunnys! Whenever I get my own place, I'm definately getting one and I'll probably name it Poppy.
