Depends on the cereal. Some combinations that work for me-
Shredded Wheat dipped in honey or jam. Also pour on orange juice
Apple Jacks with vanilla or blueberry yogurt
Granola with coconut/pineapple juice
Pureed banana on Corn Flakes
Any yogurt makes a good substitute on most cereals. So does apple juice.

Yogurt
If you are not in the habit it may sound strange.
In Europe it's quite normal.
I thought it was strange at first but it is pretty good.
I still prefer milk though.
